Meet our massage therapist...
Aimee York
Aimee is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) who specializes in therapeutic massage, with a unique expertise in working with special populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, medical conditions like autoimmune disorders, and those receiving palliative care. Her passion lies in “keeping people working,” offering ongoing support to help her clients maintain their health and vitality.
Though petite, Aimee is a powerhouse when it comes to massage therapy. She is well-versed in a wide range of massage techniques and loves partnering with individuals who are committed to maintaining their bodies in peak condition, particularly those with active, demanding careers. Her motto is simple but powerful: "I do my job so you can keep doing yours." If you need personalized deep tissue therapy, Aimee is the therapist for you.
Before opening Semplee Aimee Massage Therapy, Aimee earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. During her studies, she participated in Army ROTC, interned at a crisis pregnancy center, and at the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline. These experiences helped her hone her leadership, crisis intervention, and de-escalation skills. She spent five years working with developmentally disabled children and adults, where she took on roles as a habilitative support, para-professional, behavioral support specialist, and case manager.
After the birth of her first child, Aimee shifted her focus to elder care, dedicating the next five years to providing in-home support for seniors—especially those with complex needs like paraplegia, PTSD, and Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Outside the therapy room, Aimee enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, serving her church and community, and indulging in creative hobbies like knitting, crocheting, sketching, and painting.
